In this work with a mystical message, the artist has used the motif of figuration and reduced means of colour. The main motif is a figure represented by simple shapes and conventionally treated details such as arms, hands and head. Geometric planes form an axial figure, its halves complemented by mirror reflections. The motif of the cross, which is difficult to link unambiguously with the Christian tradition, resounds throughout the composition, being rather associated with the symbolism of broadly understood spirituality, present among others in totems, figural sculptures and paintings from various cultures and religions. The texture of the paint plays an important role, as in other paintings by the artist from the first half of the 1960s. The use of colour (dirty whites, blacks, ochres and siennas) in combination with the textural effects of thickly laid paint inscribes the painting in the current of matter painting.
