In this mature work, Przybylski focuses on the human being, their states and emotions, without the presence of the body. The physicality of the figure is evoked through the suit and the image of a ‘small human’. The picture is partially covered by the painted clothes, and partially ‘dressed’ in it. Przybylski thus uses the procedure of the mediated depiction of the human figure twice. The suit as a case of an anonymous man juxtaposed with the portrait of an infant wrapped in swaddling clothes together create an unusual still life, in which the confrontation between childhood and adulthood has an existential dimension.
