The piece was created for Sławomir Belina’s exhibition Eight in Zachęta’s Mały Salon in 2000. However, the working title of the project was different: Mine — Not Mine. The artist asked Mirosław Bałka, Anna Baumgart, Jacek Foks, Katarzyna Kozyra, Robert Maciejuk, Jadwiga Sawicka, Leon Tarasewicz and Artur Żmijewski to create his nudes, but exclusively in the medium of photography. Each of the invited artists portrayed Belina in a different way. In Jadwiga Sawicka’s interpretation, we see a kind of ‘abstracted’ portrait of the artist — his knees framed by patterned fabric.
