We invite migrant and foreign artists based in Poland to a networking meeting at Zachęta – National Gallery of Art on November 27th at 17:30.

The first hour will focus on the presentation of the collaborative practices employed by Zachęta that involve both migrant and non-migrant artists. This session will provide valuable guidance and insights into how artists can engage with Zachęta’s activities, including creating events and participating in temporary exhibitions. It will also serve as an excellent platform for artists to introduce themselves, promote their work, and connect with other artists and professionals in the art field.

We will create an open space for discussion, idea exchange, and addressing the needs of migrant artists. This will further enhance opportunities for artists to showcase their work.

Additionally, the event will feature a partial tour of the exhibition Parajanov. I want to outrun my shadow co-curated by Taras Gembik, who has been living in Poland for a few years. The event will conclude with a guided tour led by Zachęta educator Dominika Sytnik, who will provide insights into the building's history.

MigrArt is the first and only national online database for migrant and foreign artists based in Poland. It acts as a bridge between these artists and institutions, promoting their work within the Polish art and culture sector. We explore how cultural exchange can benefit the community.

The Migrart.waw.pl project is funded by the City of Warsaw and implemented by the Strefa Wolnosłowa Foundation

The project coordinator of MigrArt.waw.pl is Stan Ndua.
