Publication Rafał Bujnowski. May 2066 was created for the exhibition of the artist in Zachęta - National Gallery of Art (11.06-21.08.2016) and presents its main idea, which is the experience of the passage of time, visualized and materialized in the work created especially for the exhibition. In the book we find, among others, stills from the video projection Wlodek - writing exercises performed by a septuagenarian which, thanks to the efforts of the sports retains physical condition equal to that of twenty years ago, and pictures of the new monochrome paintings (2016) - a series of Tonda and panel clouds - postarzonych about fifty years in the chamber to strength testing materials. These images are characterized by a particular ambivalence times as a result of aging look like works of long stored in the warehouse, although the assumption artist simulate the state in which they could be in 2,066 years. Hence the title of the exhibition and publication indicating futurology - examination of the possible material situation. The publication also reproduced graphics Bujnowski, which the exhibition was finished in one of the walls. The act of aging / destruction of their work can be considered a desire for objectification image and challenge its unique status - a unique aesthetic object and a placement between the museum and the art market.
