Zachęta Project Room

Works presented in the exhibition re-use artifacts from recent history (architecture, photography, media images documenting political and social events, film, music). Some authors treat them as a stage on which they develop completely new ideas, the others refer more to the stories, that inspired them. The invited artists were born in Yugoslavia. They live and work in Belgrade, Lubljana, Skopije, Amsterdam and Vienna. Re-enactment, appropriation are their favoutite artistic strategies. The works presented in the show would be: videoinstallations, photography, objects.

The Ponovo upotrebiti show is organized in frames of the exchange of the project rooms between the Salon MoCAB and the Zachęta Project Room. The first exhibition, curated by Una Popović took place from 9th November till 4th December 2016 at the Salon in Belgrade.
