One of the artist’s earlier works, the painting depicts a woman and a man in a simplified convention against the background of architecture in perspective, outlined with vertical and horizontal lines. The figures are shown from behind, from the waist up, partially obscured by a black patch of paint. The matter in an indeterminate state of aggregation seems to be exploding, which is clearly evident in the red splotches contrasting with the yellow background. The whole is reminiscent of a snapshot from a comic book or a painting, the source of which can be found in literature, film or everyday life.
