The back wall of the brick annexe marked the Ghetto’s boundary. Perpendicularly to it ran a wall that divided the backyards between the Ghetto from the north (55 Sienna Street) and the ‘Aryan side’ from the south (62 Złota Street). Today’s arrangement of the surface corresponds with the historical spatial arrangement: cobblestones (Ghetto), brick line (wall base), paver blocks (‘Aryan side’). In the clearance, Jana Pawła ii Avenue (formerly Juliana Marchlewskiego Street, nonexistent before 1945). The location of the Palace of Culture and Science corresponds with the south-eastern end of the Ghetto and marks the last location of the Jewish Orphanage run by Janusz Korczak and Stefania Wilczyńska (formerly 16 Sienna Street).
