The hidden Jews in Shoah Cinema
Lecture by Klaus Davidowicz

Zachęta | Cinema Room (entrance through the exhibition)
free entry

Event in English.

Due to illness, Klaus Davidowicz will be giving an online lecture in the Cinema Room. After the lecture, Jakub Majmurek will host a Q&A session as scheduled.

The topic of hiding during the Shoah was examined in film very early. In my lecture I would like to present various feature films from different countries from the 1940s to the present that approach the topic in a different way, from Morituri (Germany 1948), The Diary of Anne Frank (USA 1959), Angry Harvest (Germany/Poland 1985) to In Darkness (Poland 2011), In Another Lifetime (Austria 2011) and Anna's War (Russia 2018). After the lecture Jakub Majmurek will lead a Q&A with Klaus Davidowicz.
