Alternative Travelling – meeting with Jan Marković
A meeting with Jan Marković, devoted to post-tourism, that is, conscious travelling and non-stereotypical thinking. We will also try to answer the following questions: How do European tourists describe and depict the places they visit and the people they meet around the world? What should be done to change our — often shallow and staple – thinking about cultures we deem exotic?
Jan Marković is a psychologist and traveller, fortunate to have been born and raised in a multicultural setting. Editorial board member of Peron4.pl, a web portal devoted to independent travelling.

Trashed
dir. Candida Brady
USA, 2012, 1 h. 38 min
Do you know what really happens to the trash you throw into the garbage can? Over 7 billion people live on Earth, producing tonnes of waste every day. When do we start experiencing the consequences of that?
Trashed, a US documentary, reveals surprising facts about the direct and grave health hazards resulting from poor waste management. The film recounts an international discussion, led across the globe from Iceland to Indonesia, by the star actor Jeremy Irons talking to scientists, politicians and ordinary people who have suffered the consequences of global pollution.
Trashed takes us on a trip through a beautiful but terrifying world, making us realise that the future is in our hands.
