This workshop for adults is inspired by the work of Krystyna Wojtyna-Drouet and her experimental approach to fabric—its texture, structure, and expressive potential. The starting point is the idea that form can emerge organically through direct engagement with material.

Following a short guided visit to the exhibition, participants will create their own abstract compositions using a variety of fabrics with different textures and weights. The process will be intuitive—without preliminary sketches—and will focus on exploring the relationships between color, rhythm, and surface structure.

Krystyna Wojtyna-Drouet. I Cease to Exist for Myself

The solo presentation of Krystyna Wojtyna-Drouet's works is the result of the artist’s long-standing, deeply intuitive relationship with material and craft. The exhibition brings together tapestry textiles, sketches, dyeing recipes and archival materials, revealing the processual nature of her practice, grounded in attentive observation and improvisation. A key point of reference within the exhibition is Uliczka (1962) — a work that marked a breakthrough both in the artist’s career and in the history of the Polish school of textile art.
