The catalogue Wojciech Zamecznik. Photo-graphic that accompanies the artist’s exhibition at Zacheta - National Gallery of Art is the first such important publication to explore the work of one of the most significant Polish designers of the second half of the 20th Century and an outstanding representative of the Polish Poster School. Besides reproductions of most of the works displayed at the exhibition, the book also features a number of texts that throw a wider spotlight on Wojciech Zamecznik’s extensive body of work.

Katarzyna Jeżowska presents in detail the artist’s most important projects in the field of exhibition design, while Marcin Lachowski writes about Zamecznik’s early period of graphic design. A significant element of the catalogue is also constituted by the calendar of the artist’s life, enriched with press quotes prepared by Agnieszka Szewczyk and an interview with the artist's son, Juliusz Zamecznik. Additionally, the book contains a text by its co-editor Karolina Ziębińska-Lewandowska, who situates Zamecznik’s works within the context of the modernism that was strongly present in the Polish art of the 50s, and an essay by Julie Jones, in which she presents Zamecznik’s photographic works in the context of French and Swiss art. The book is completed by a text from the second editor of the catalogue, Karolina Puchała-Rojek, that deals with Wojciech Zamecznik’s family and travel photographs.
