The aim of this book, devoted to the art of Józef Szajna - one of the greatest and exceptionally versatile artists of the second half of the 20th century in Poland, as well as the world - is to document and analyse his output. Such a book appears even more necessary becouse the art which Szajna created has for its major part been theatrical and para-theatrical, which means it is exhemeral and remains mostly in the form of photographic record and relations of the participants of the events.
